THE NAME

There is a quaint, little street in the Eastern part of inner-city Stockholm called Tysta gatan. Tysta means Silent, gatan Street. A walk there one afternoon several years ago, gave inspiration – both the view as well as the ambience of the street. The name of it, translated into English, became ours’.

A GUILD GOING WAY BACK

Years ago – back in 2002 – Silent street was founded as a kind of composers’ guild. With original material ranging from ballad, pop, and country to dance, ambient and synth, we are proud to offer an ever growing list of material waiting to be discovered by the right artist/band.

Great musicians… the world has a lot of them – some are known all over the world – but the major part is of course fairly unknown. However we are very much influenced by the following professional musicians:

OLD AND NEW MATERIAL

As early as 1984 we started composing music together – the main part of our material is actually made 15 to 30 years ago. Now we are mainly re-producing it to make it “sound better” but hopefully without loosing the original “feeling”.
